Mosaics
Cathy uses the technique of selective cutting along with fused glass and painted kiln fired glass to create extra detail in her mosaics. She also uses different coloured grout throughout the piece to add a painterly look. Cathy uses handmade or antique frames on wood boards for the base. She creates most of her pieces from scrap glass that she saves from her stained glass work. Using chips of glass and cutting shapes specific to the design add dimension to her work.
